What does public affairs refer to?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

People have different\u00a0<\/span>definitions for this term.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, it obviously is not in the realm of \u201cpersonal issues\" or \"individual business\".<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In hopes\u00a0<\/span>of defining the meaning and connotations of the term, we have\u00a0<\/span>to seize the spirit of the word \"public\". Surely, what \"public\"\u00a0<\/span>means is not yet clearly defined but it seems\u00a0<\/span>to refer to the\u00a0<\/span>\"activities within governmental jurisdiction\" from a theoretical\u00a0<\/span>and practical point of view.<\/span><\/p>\n

In other words, the origin of public affairs is that when an\u00a0<\/span>individual influences the other members of the society directly \u00a0<\/span>or indirectly for personal issues or business, resulting in this\u00a0<\/span>affair impacting the public, the government will oversee that\u00a0<\/span>matter.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

\nThe Department of Public Affairs and Administration prepares students to become managers of public affairs who not only care about local issues but also think globally.\nStudents will gain ability to address public problems through interdisciplinary training, which emphasizes both theoretical and practical knowledge.\n<\/p>\n\n\n
